Museum of Man is located in the historic California Quadrangle at Balboa Park.

The focus of the museum is mainly culture and art of Ancient America. The exhibits include subjects like Haitian voodoo, Indo American rock art, Abenaki art and Hawaiian and Maori cultures. The museum also includes complete package of information source through high quality books. For children, there is a crafts kit and beautifully illustrated books that tell wonderful native legends, Discovery center- which gives ample knowledge about ancient Egypt. Then there are rare musical instruments such as ocarinas, panpipes and reed flutes.

Permanent exhibits showcase Maya ancient Egypt, human evolution and human life cycle. Through all these exhibits and programs the museum has been successful in creating an environment which is conducive for the growth of children as well as adults.

Museum Hours:
Daily 10am- 4:30pm., except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
