The Museum of Photographic Arts was started on May 1, 1983 and is rated amongst the world class museums. It is finest example of photography- a form of art through a wide collection of photographs, videos and films. There is a huge collection of photographs approximately more than 7,000. This collection of photography, video tapes and films are preserved in such a temperature controlled atmosphere that it can remain in its new state for all times to come.

The Museum also holds some exhibitions from time to time. The store offers a wide collection of biographies, monographs, collections, histories of film and photography, exhibition catalogues, technical books, books about photography for children of all ages and gift items including cards, photo albums, frames, jewelry and educational toys and books for children.

Galleries Hours: Open: Monday through Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm; Thursdays until 9:00pm (*Hours vary during Special Events).
Closed: Thanksgiving Day, December 25th, January 1st, and July 4th. Galleries close at 2pm on December 24th and December 31st.

Gallery Admissions: Adults; students, seniors and military; Free to members and children under 12; Free to public on the second Tuesday of the month. Free to school groups with advanced reservation.
