San Diego Museum of Art

San Diego Museum of Art opened its doors in 1922. Today, it is San Diego's largest art institution with the most comprehensive collection of Art comprised of Italian, Dutch and Spanish Art in the form of paintings and sculptures. The logo of the museum is represented by a seashell and the central motif is the façade.

During the exhibitions the museum provides brochures, wall texts and guided tours both in Spanish and English. The library features 27,000 books, 12,000 volumes of bound periodicals, 100 ongoing periodical subscriptions, over 27,000 auction and sales catalogs, 175 linear feet of clipping files, photographs and scrapbooks, rare art periodicals with original lithographs, CD- ROMS, software and videos.

The museum serves to provide the generations an enriching experience by touching their lives through various art forms. The San Diego Museum of Art Online Store features unique gift items inspired by the museum's collection and exhibitions.
