La Jolla Festival of the Arts

The Festival was inaugurated in the year 1987 with the performance of 60 artists and 10 food vendors which together attracted 1000 visitors.

The two day festival presented by San Diego Volvo and Volvo Cars of North America has now expanded to more than 190 award winning artists and 20 food vendors thus attracting 15000 visitors.

The festival is held in University of California, San Diego's East Campus. The festival is one of the most celebrated and popular festival of Southern California featuring cuisines from different places and music sponsored by Taylor Guitars.

It has been recognized as the number one art show in San Diego County and one of the highest ranked Festivals in the United States. Admission for adults is , and free for children under 10.

Some of the programs include adaptive snow skiing, karate, wheelchair roadracing, camping, wheelchair tennis, water skiing, quadriplegic rugby, therapeutic horseback riding and art and education programs for children.

Nationally acclaimed artists from across the country attend the festival.
