San Diego Transit Corporation (SDTC) is a subsidiary of the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) family of bus and trolley operators.
There are 29 fixed routes, 7 express and 22 local. Routes operate 610 miles catering to two million passengers. SDTC covers the cities of San Diego, El Cajon, La Mesa, National City, as well as portions of San Diego County's unincorporated area. The routes also connect with other regional operators' routes.
The SDTC service area offers approximately 3,000 stops, serve 14 park- and- ride lots and 10 transit centers. For the ultimate convenience of the passengers and tourists, timing is well- coordinated with other regional bus and trolley routes to ensure riders reach their destinations in as timely a way as possible.
Highlighting a special feature of the SDTC is that offers lift- equipped service for riders in wheelchairs or for those with mobility impairments. Most transit centers have route information available in Braille.
An added facility is that SDTC routes have bike racks that can secure two bicycles per bus. Some bus stops offer bicycle lockers.
